Adam Thomason
Director of Emerging Leaders
Adam, known as “AT” by those closest to him, is a gifted young man, and his gifts are as diverse as his background. AT is originally from Detroit, where he was raised in the inner city. His academic and athletic prowess gave him the opportunity to attend Savannah College of the Arts, where he was a standout basketball player while majoring in fashion design. Upon completion of his undergraduate work, AT worked on a ranch in CA before heading to TX to study under Pastor Tom Nelson and be discipled by Brent Bowen. He then went on to Dallas Theological Seminary, where he
received a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies.
AT shared classes at DTS with DownLine Director Kennon Vaughan who says AT was one of the brightest students on campus and one of the most creative, talented, and godly men Kennon met. AT is a scholar, an athlete, a theologian, an artist, and a friend, but what is admired most in him is his integrity. This is why we couldn’t be more excited about him being the director of the Emerging Leaders program, where he will be in charge of the spiritual formation of the college graduates who are coming to Memphis to go through the DL training and serve in the city. After a year under AT’s wing, they will be well equipped to serve God with all of their heart and mind for the rest of their lives.
AT was recently married to his beautiful wife Dawntoya.
