Steve Winstead

DL International Director

Steve serves as DownLine Ministries International Director.  Steve's main responsibilities are to initiate, encourage, and assist in the building of disciple-making movements around the world for the fulfillment of the Great Commission. He equips, builds leaders, and leads foreign mission teams for the purpose of training in discipleship.  He also is a Bible and discipleship teacher within the DownLine Institute and Emerging Leaders program.   He has traveled on over 20 foreign mission trips to places that include China, Hong Kong, India, Zambia, Indonesia, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Brazil, and the Holy Lands.  Before joining DownLine Ministries Steve spent 11 years as a youth minister, first in Kentucky and then in Tennessee.

Steve raised in Kentucky and received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Kentucky.   He received his Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary and is completing his doctoral work at Fuller Theological Seminary. He has also done course work at Dallas Theological Seminary and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Steve is an Adjunct Professor of Bible and Theology at Crichton College. He also teaches Bible studies for Truth Seekers and is an Associate Instructor with Walk Thru the Bible. Steve and his family are members of Fellowship Memphis Church where he teaches in the Fellowship Institute.

Steve and his wife Margaret, a certified counselor and stay at home mom, frequently counsel engaged couples preparing for marriage. Steve enjoys shepherding his family, teaching God's word, discipling young men, and running marathons (Chicago, New York, Nashville and Boston). He and Margaret have two sons, Samuel and Noah.
