Women's Coordinator and CFO
Ashley is blessed to be married
to Van for 11 years; they have 4 sons, Evan (9), Eli (7), Gray (5) and Gavin
(4). The Jones family believes
that God moved them from their home, their comfort zone, a home church for
which they loved and in which they faithfully served and all that was familiar
to them to join Him in His work in Memphis, TN. In January, 2010 they said goodbye to family and friends
near Charlotte, NC and moved to Memphis.
Believing the Lord providentially brought her family to this great city,
He has cultivated in her a real heart for the people here.
She believes her highest calling
is to be the woman God created her to be, which includes wife, mother, friend,
discipler and disciple. This
calling includes having a real passion for women to not just know Jesus, but to
experience their Savior and life He offers in His Word!
Ashley came to DownLine
Ministries as a student in the Women’s Institute last year-a year in which God
transformed her life in many ways.
Upon joining the DL staff, she served as Chief Administrator and is
overjoyed to now serve as Women’s Coordinator and CFO. In her current role, she will
act as the main DL liaison for the DL Institute for Women, organize ladies
fellowships, serve as a resource and encourager to the women and oversee the
Biblical womanhood aspect of the program.
Before joining the DL staff,
Ashley had been a wife and stay-at-home mom for 10 years. She thoroughly enjoyed that season of
her life and is just as excited to be in this new season of life. Prior to her season at home, she
utilized her CPA license working in the public accounting industry.
Since 1998, Ashley has taught women’s bible studies
and been a lay leader in women’s ministries. She serves on the board and has written articles for Whisper
of God, a ministry encouraging people to be grounded in God’s Word. Her
testimony was published in the newsletter for First Place, a Christ-centered
healthy living program. Also, she
served on the board for the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Gaston County in NC, as
well as served women in crisis as a volunteer peer counselor. She has been the inspirational speaker
at mother’s teas as well as ladies night out events.
Her hobbies
include spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, hiking and
playing tennis.
