Brad Laws

Director of the Emerging Leaders Program

Brad was born in south Florida and moved to Austin, TX in 1996. He graduated from the University of Texas in '06 with a degree in Finance from the McCombs School of Business. While at Texas, he spent 3 years serving as a youth leader for Hill Country Bible Church NW, accumulated numerous Intramural Championships, and was one of 12 charter student members on the launch team of Hill Country Bible Church UT. Brad met his beautiful bride during his senior year at Texas while signing up for a mission trip to Mexico. Brad and Aubrey got married 3 years later (hear a rap re-telling their story here).

Upon graduation, Brad stayed in Austin and spent two years investing into the lives of college students while working for HCBCUT. During those two years, Brad was discipled by Michael Dennis and began to develop a passion to see the restoration of discipleship in and through the local church. After visiting Memphis on two college spring break mission trips, Brad left the Lonestar State to get some more training through DownLine's Emerging Leaders program. Upon finishing the program, Brad was asked to Co-Direct Emerging Leaders with Jamie Trussell.

Brad is currently in his second year as the Co-Director of Emerging Leaders. He and Aubrey were blessed with their first son, McKray, earlier this year and lives a few blocks south of the University of Memphis.
