"I believe that our marching orders as believers are found in Matthew 28:18-20. We call it the Great Commission and the mandate is clear. The only command in this section of scripture is to turn people into Disciples. Winning the lost and building them in their faith-walk with the Lord Jesus is the essential task. According to Galatians 2:20, it is Christ living and re-producing Himself in and through us. This means we are to do more than add members to the church; multiplication is God's order and design. Too often, we "get um saved and get um busy", and I believe it is time to get focused on our mandate to make Disciples. Jesus did not save us, to merely get us out of earth into heaven, He saved us, so that He could get out of heaven into earth."(Author Herb Hodges).
In 2 Timothy 2:15 Paul tells us to "Be diligent to study, to show our selves Approved Unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, but rightly handles the word of truth."
Praise God, I'm still working on my AUG degree!
