Betsy Makinster

Institute Women’s Director

Betsy serves as the Institute Women’s Director at Downline. As a program alumna, she brings a deep passion for Women’s Ministry and a strong commitment to investing in the spiritual growth of women. After attending Downline and previously serving as a preschool director, Betsy felt called to pursue a role in Women’s Ministry and is eager to build meaningful relationships within the program while creating opportunities for women to serve together. She has been married to her husband, Dean, for 28 years, and together they have four adult children. Betsy holds a bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Services from Arkansas State University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the lake and the beach, playing pickleball, and being with family and friends. Betsy is a member of Grace Evangelical Church.
